ABOUT ME
Hi there. My name is Aubrey and I am an integrative psychiatrist based out of my beautiful hometown of Reno, NV. I am also a dog mom to a tiny but mighty pup. An outdoor enthusiast. An aspiring yogi. An amateur chef.
I decided to study medicine because I wanted to help people and make a difference in my community. During medical school, I was drawn to psychiatry because I wanted to know people beyond their symptoms - I wanted to understand their stories. While my experience and training have allowed me to develop a great respect for the benefits of western medicine, I have also come to appreciate its limits. I have come to believe true healing is best achieved by understanding and treating the whole person - mind, body, spirit. This belief guided my decision to part ways with the traditional medical model and create a practice which would allow me to provide care in a way that was better aligned with my own values, beliefs, and experiences in mental health - one that incorporates integrative and holistic approaches to help you achieve optimal wellness and lasting healing.
I truly believe each individual has the ability to achieve their version of optimal well-being. I believe human connection and empathy form the basis of a path to healing and by taking a mind body spirit approach toward understanding the root of your struggles, we can create a plan of action that aligns with your values and empowers you to grow into your full potential.
